The dream of every book lover is to have a large home library filled with books and offering most wanted peace and privacy. Well, if you are one of them, let us introduce you one of those you’ve ever imagined.
This studio apartment is located in the residential area, former French Concession, now very popular among young expats and international settlers. Originally, it was designed by Laszlo Hudec in 1924, now renovated by Atelier TAO + C. The library with floor to ceiling bookshelves made of oak is so impressive. It gives an illusion of synchronised flow along the apartment. And this is not the end. A pair of stairs lead you to a small but very cozy mezzanine enveloped with more bookshelves.
The oak furniture and leather add a vintage touch to any room. The Carrera marble cools it down in an elegant way. An eye-catching detail is a glass pivot door, framed in bronze. It particularly guarantees the privacy of the bedroom while giving wide opening and modern appearance.
If you get lost in a good book, the 12 m long terrace makes a connection with a real world where you’re the writer of your own life story …..
