Soap bubbles floating in the air… Doesn’t it evoke happy childhood memories?
Today we’re inspired by the beauty and elegance of the handcrafted lights by Israeli designer Ohad Benit.
The Stress collection – named to reflect the tension between the two materials: glass and brass. “One is tough and elastic, the other hard and brittle, the fluid inflated manually through the brass rod,” said Benit.
The process of getting unique shape of each light is fascinating. Firstly, glass is blown into each of the brass rings, and then while cooling, glass shades are freely forming the final shape.
Available as floor lamp versions, with legs dipped in white paint, pendants, and wall lights held on curved brass wire.
